Whoa. That is the best word to describe this week for us! On Sunday I received a call that my 86 year old Grandma Shaw (known by everyone as Maw Shaw) passed away. It was a bit of a surprise and I really wanted to be in Memphis to support my mom and the rest of her family. My dear husband made arrangements and we left around 10:30 a.m. on Monday. We arrived in Memphis, played with the Cameron kids, attended the visitation on Tuesday night, my sister had a baby at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, we attended the funeral at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, went to the hospital to see new little Michael Walton Cameron (weighing a whopping 9 lb. 1 oz.), hit the road back to Manhattan around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and arrived in Manhattan around 4:00 a.m. on Thursday. Whoa. It was absolutely wonderful to be there with my family and I am SO glad that we did it. My sweet Grandma was so loving and caring toward every person she encountered. She left behind 7 children, 24 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. Whoa. We loved her dearly and we are thrilled that she is now with our Lord.
Harper ALWAYS has a blast at Nan and Pop's house. She didn't want to leave.
Liz and baby Michael. I think she now holds the world record for fastest birth. Seriously, she's a machine.
Reese was OBSESSED with Michael. "Baby" is one of the few words in her vocabulary, and I think she said it around 973 times.
Checking things out
Cute Cameron Clan
**There are a few things I LOVE about this picture- 1-No one is looking at the camera (my fault, I know), 2-Harper is trying to creep in the picture as well, 3-Thomas has an open fly, 4-Sarah Ann is making the funniest face. Greatness
This week was wild and we definitely experienced a full spectrum of emotions. All I know is that God is so faithful.
